Resources for Secondary Music Teachers
There are two main barriers to integrating harpists into the public school music ensemble: lack of information, and lack of music. This project aims to remove those barriers so that every young harpist has an opportunity to play in orchestra (or with other large ensembles). Below, there are resources linked that provide basic information about harps and harpists, integrating the harp into the orchestra, and suggestions for pieces with already-written harp parts.
This project was created as part of the term requirements for the 2022 AHS Chapter Ambassador program. I am not currently updating it.
