There are two main barriers to integrating harpists into the public school music ensemble: lack of information, and lack of music. This project aims to remove those barriers so that every young harpist has an opportunity to play in orchestra (or with other non-harp ensembles). Below, there are resources linked that provide basic information about harps and harpists, integrating the harp into the orchestra, and suggestions for pieces with already-written harp parts.
The raw data set is linked below- eventually, it will be put on it's own website in a database form, searchable by title/composer/difficulty level/orchestration/ensemble/publisher. For now it's just incomplete data, but it's still accessible! These lists are updated on a semi-regular basis, so if you don't find something you like check back later and you might find a hidden gem. Last Updated 3.15.24
